The Yei Joint Stars beat Munuki FC to win the South Sudan Women’s Cup 2025-2026 after a tense final decided by penalties at Juba National Stadium on Saturday.

The match started at a high pace, with Yei Joint Stars breaking the deadlock in the 27th minute when Esther scored to give her side the lead heading into halftime.

Munuki FC came back determined in the second half and managed to level the score in the 51st minute through Sharon, setting up a tight and competitive finish.

Despite several attempts from both sides, neither team was able to find a winning goal during normal time, leaving the match tied at 1-1 and forcing a penalty shootout.

Yei Joint Stars remained calm under pressure and converted five of their penalties, while Munuki FC managed three.

The result secured the title for Yei Joint Stars and marked their third triumph in the competition.
