Over unknown grounds, the governor of Warrap State suspended the commissioner of Twic County.

Adhar Akok Ador’s suspension was announced on the state-run Kuajok FM on Wednesday.

The gubernatorial order did not explain why Francis Marial Abur suspended Akok, leaving the residents wondering.

Adhar Akok Ador had been serving in his capacity as commissioner since August 2024.

He was initially appointed during the administration of former Governor Kuol Mour Mour, who was succeeded by Governor Abur in a broader political transition within the state.

Akok is the third official to hold the position of commissioner in Twic County following the dissolution of the defunct Twic State, with his predecessors being Simon Aguek Chan Atem and Deng Tong Goc.

The governor appointed John Mabior Marup to serve as the acting commissioner of the county until further notice.
