The police in Turalei have detained a man after a deadly accident occurred over the weekend.

“The vehicle veered off the road and rammed into a hut, killing two women,” said Col. Kur Maboch Arup, traffic police inspector in Twic County.

According to reports, Panther Madut Yach was intoxicated when he crashed a Toyota Landcruiser into a hut on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to three children.

The police have identified the deceased individuals as Gok Ayuok Majok, who was 40 years old, and Anyiel Manyuot Majok, who was 35 years old.

Miss Ayuok, the authorities said, was in her fifth month of pregnancy.

“Drivers should be careful driving to avoid such fatal accidents in the community,” Col. Maboch said, adding that the 34-year-old suspect will soon be arraigned in court.
