South Sudan’s national football team, the Bright Stars, will play a big match against Senegal on Friday, October 10, at the Juba National Stadium.
The game is part of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers for
Africa, in Group B.
South Sudan is currently at the bottom of the group with
four points, while Senegal is at the top with 18 points and has not lost a game
so far.
The Senegal team features famous players such as Édrissa
Gana Gueye and Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye from Everton, as well as Sadio Mané,
who plays in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr FC.
Even though Senegal is the favorite to win, the Bright Stars

South Sudan’s team includes Tito Okello, who plays in the
Libyan Premier League, and Atendele Geriga Mawa, who plays in Uganda, along
with other young and determined players.
On Thursday evening, the President of the South Sudan
Football Federation, Mr. Francis Amin Michael, visited the stadium with other
officials to support the team.
They joined the Bright Star Ultras, the team’s fan group who
were singing and practicing chants to cheer the players during the match.
There is a lot of excitement in Juba, with many fans
expected to come to the stadium to support the national team.
The match is not just about football; it is a proud moment
for the country as it continues to grow in the world of sports.
The Bright Stars have been working hard to improve, and this
