Pope Francis has praised Catholic Priest Fr John Lo’boko Morris for his tremendous interpretation during his Apostolic journey to South Sudan.
His Holiness –together with the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland — visited South Sudan from 3-5 February for pilgrimage for peace.
‘I thank you for your faithful assistance during my recent Apostolic Journey to South Sudan,” partly reads a letter.
“Interpretation is certainly not easy work, but you did it with courtesy and gentleness, and for this, I am very grateful.
“Please be assured of my prayers for you and for your intentions. Entrusting you and your priestly ministry to the loving intercessions of Mary, Mother of the Church, I bless you from my heart and ask for your continued prayers for me.”
In response, Fr Lo’boko also thanked His Holiness for the kind words. He promised his continued prayers for Pope Francis.
“Thank you, Holy Father, for your very kind words of appreciation and assurance of my prayers which I wholeheartedly reciprocate,” he said in Facebook post.
