Israel United in Christ (IUIC) has called for peace, spiritual upliftment, and unity among the people of South Sudan as the nation continues to face poverty, displacement, and ongoing social challenges.

The New York-based Christian organization, in an interview with The Radio Community (TRC) on Thursday, emphasized the importance of hope and resilience during difficult times.

“The current situation that they are going through is endurable, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” said Gabriel Irael, organization representative.

South Sudan prepares for its first-ever elections on 22 December this year, but military confrontations between government forces and opposition groups continue across the country, particularly in Jonglei, Unity, Upper Nile, and Eastern Equatoria states.

Irael stressed that unity and a commitment to nonviolence are essential for stability and progress.

“There is a God looking over them right now who will deliver them from the current situation,” he added.

The organization operates more than 44 centers across the United States, as well as international centers in Africa, Europe, Central and South America, and the West Indies.

In Africa, it maintains sanctuaries and learning centers in countries including Ghana, Malawi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its mission is to empower and uplift marginalized communities by providing spiritual guidance while teaching individuals about their true nationality and heritage.
