The government of Central Equatoria State has endorsed the third edition of the Pojulu Cultural Festival, scheduled to take place from May 10 to 12, 2026, in Juba.
The approval follows a meeting between the festival’s
organizing committee, led by Chairman Jimmy Kwaje Samson, and Central Equatoria
State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony.
During the engagement, the organizers presented the objectives of this year’s festival, emphasizing its focus on promoting unity and harmony among communities in Central Equatoria State.
The event is designed to celebrate Pojulu cultural heritage while fostering social cohesion in a region marked by diverse ethnic identities.
“Governor Emmanuel reaffirmed his commitment, noting that
cultural celebrations are vital for the revival of heritage and play a
significant role in strengthening community ties,” Adil’s office said in a
statement seen by The Radio Community (TRC) on Wednesday.
“He emphasized that the state would continue to promote and
preserve cultures in every way possible to ensure they contribute to the
state’s broader development goals.”
The upcoming festival is anticipated to serve as a major cultural platform, bringing together artists, cultural groups, and community leaders.
