Former Bor County Commissioner Yout Alier Hok has died of brain Tumer at Nile Kings Specialist Hospital in Juba on wednesday.
Family member John Mayol Nhial confirmed the passing on of the ex-official. He said the family had book a flight to take him to Canada on January 15, for specialized surgery before he died.
Jonglei State deputy governor, Jacob Akech said the passing on of the passing of former commissioner is a great loss.
“It is a great loss to people Jonglei State, Bor County, his family and SPLM. Yuot was an energetic young leader who was dedicated to serving his people. It is difficult to cope with the news of his passing, but I convey the condolences to the family in Canada and relatives in Bor to take heart and bear with this heavy news for your beloved son and a leader,” Akech said.
The late Yuot Alier Hok was appointed in 2021 as the Commissioner of Bor County and later relieved in January 2023 after serving more than a year in the office as the commissioner.
