Cattle raid in Twic County: 48 cattle stolen, one person injured

At least 48 cattle were stolen, and one person was injured in a cattle raid in Ayiet Boma, Aweng Payam in Twic.

According to Marko Magok Kur, the Administrator of Aweng Payam, the incident took place on Tuesday when a group of unidentified armed men attacked and stole the livestock.

“The cattle owners attempted to pursue the raiders into a swampy area. During the chase, one individual, identified as Ajuong Major Atem, sustained injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at Turalei Hospital,” he told Mayardit FM.

Magok alleges the suspects are believed to be from Mayom County. However, this allegation has not been independently verified by Mayardit FM.
