The Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster, Taban Deng Gai, has left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), accompanied by other senior officials.
with a government delegation to discuss investment opportunities with the UAE government.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the discussions will revolve around investment opportunities related to natural resources and infrastructure development.
“The delegation will meet the government of the United Arab Emirates to discuss investment opportunities in the Republic of South Sudan ranging from agriculture, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure developments,” reads the statement from Deng’s office.
The vice president is being accompanied by Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, the presidential envoy for special programs; Dr. Bak Barnaba, minister of Finance and Planning; Simon Mijok Mijak, minister of Roads and Bridges; Dr. James Alic Garang, governor of the Central Bank; and Dr. Cosmas Patia, undersecretary at the Ministry of Mining.
