Two people were killed following a shooting by an unknown gunman in Bor town, Jonglei state on Tuesday night.
One person is said to be currently in a critical condition.
The two deceased have been identified as a couple; Bengo Adriano and Mary.
The Director General of the State Ministry of Health, Chot Kueth said the wounded person is receiving treatment at UN Mission clinic in Bor.
The state police commissioner stated that investigations are ongoing to identify the criminals.
Meanwhile, construction is ongoing to erect a concrete fence at Bor Civil Hospital.
Mr. Kueth said the work is expected to be completed in the next 3 months.
The new fence is being constructed at a cost of $300,000. He disclosed that the funds were raised by private donors – mostly citizens of Jonglei state.
