The UN children agency UNICEF in Warrap state, has donated more than 500 cartoons of primary and secondary schools textbooks to education department in Twic County. The donation was received by County education department in Twic County.

Official says the textbooks will help children have reading materials and understand in each area of their education.

Twic County Education Director Mr. Mawith Angok says the books will be distributed to over two hundred seventy schools in the county for the 2022 academic year.

Agok promised that the government and its partner’s agencies would provide other learning materials before the end of this new academic year calendar.

Mr. Agok said the textbooks are only going to be used in the school but still will allow the student to borrow

“There must be a book prepared for recording the names of the pupils or students given the books for the reason of returning the textbooks to the school administration,” he said.

The education director called the schools headteachers to properly maintain books because textbooks are printed after five years, which costs a considerable amount of money.

Last week, the national minister of general education, Hon. Awut Deng announced that the examination for primary eight would begin on February 14, which is to start in two weeks.
