At least two South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) soldiers were killed by unidentified gunmen in Bombil village of Ajak Kuac Payam in Twic County, Warrap State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday around 3PM at Bombil military base in Ajak Kuac Payam, Twic County.
The deceased are identified as Corporal Aguer Kuel, 21; and Sergeant Garang Mayen, 29.
Brigadier Akech Akot Akot, Commander for Brigade 7B under Division III, suspects some four men who sometimes hang out with soldiers at the base are behind the crime.
Brigadier Akot said the attackers also made away with weapons, including two AK47 Kalashnikovs, one RPG, and one PK machine gun.
In January, three people were killed and five others wounded in same Bombil military unit by suspected gunmen.
