Thieves break into Kapoeta Mix Primary School

Suspected burglars broke into Kapoeta Mix Primary School in Kapoeta South County, Eastern Equatoria State, and made away with furniture and documents at the weekend, the acting headteacher has said.

“The things that they have taken from the office were five office chairs and one office table,” Lilian Saverio told Singaita FM on Tuesday.

“Most of the papers which are very important in the office are missing; the files contained all the records for the school and attendance books for the teachers.”

The thieves accessed the administration block via window, according to pictures seen by this media outlet.

She said the school administration was informed by a member of the public who saw the damage while passing by the school on Sunday.

Kapoeta Mix is a government school located within Kapoeta Town, Kapoeta South County.

Ms Saverio to the county education department, state government, education partners and well-wishers to support the school by fencing it.
