At least 10 people have been arrested following a brawl during a party in Turalei Payam, Warrap state this week.
Three people were reportedly injured after young people battered each other with sticks and fists at the night disco.
The fight reportedly happened in Kach Beek village – 4 hours away from Turalei where there is no telecommunication network. The cause of the fighting has not been established.
The matter was reported to the police by a local chief.
Police say among those arrested are two young women and 8 men.
Brigadier General Mark Mawien Madit, the Director of Police in Twic County told Mayardit FM that the suspects are in custody in Turalei – awaiting trials.
“These people they will tell the court why they fought because there is no clear reason for the fight .One woman and 2 other men were wounded. After they finished treatment they will also be investigated. A case has been opened against them,” he stated.
