Police are holding a suspect in connection with the death of a 35-year-old man in Akon Payam of Gogrial West County, Warrap state.
The victim died on Wednesday at around 9PM in Mayen Pajok Boma.
According to the head of Akon Payam Police station, there was a previous altercation between the victim and the suspect. The victim is alleged to have recently speared his would-be killer, which later resulted into a revenge attack.
Colonel Abdalla Deng Mou called for calm as investigations are ongoing.
“If there is someone causing problem, they must be reported to the police so that police can open a case against such a person by being taken to court,” he urged.
Colonel Deng disclosed that the suspect will be transferred to the County Police headquarters in Gogrial town for further investigation.
Last week, five people were also arrested over the killing of a 30–year-old man.
