Raiders free two men days after Tonj South abduction

Suspected criminals have reportedly set free two people after abducting them in Tonj South County, Warrap state last week.

The two were kidnapped while grazing their animals in Manyang Ngok Payam.

The herders together with at least 40 cows were driven towards Lakes state.

1st Lieutenant David Bol Maguang Lual, Inspector of Police in Tonj South County said the raiders released the herders after 2 days. The animals were, however, not returned.

The County Police boss urged the communities to coexist in peace and end all forms of violence.

1st Lt. Bol mentioned that authorities in Warrap and Lakes states are working closely to recover the stolen animals and end cattle raiding.
