The Transitional National Legislative Assembly adjourned Monday
parliamentary discussion due to technical glitch which has malfunctioned all
the microphones in the hall.
Hon. Oliver Mori, spokesperson of the parliament told the
media that the technicians are working on the unexpected glitch.
“All the mics in the hall, when you talk, cannot be heard
and this is a technical problem, which the people of electricity and the sound
system in Parliament will handle,” said Mori.
Mori stated that the Right Honorable first deputy speaker, Nathaniel
Oyet decided to call the sitting off after minutes of soundstage.
“The members waited for some time with the hope that the mistake
could be rectified of the sound, but it was not forthcoming,” Mori stated.
The august house was supposed to listen to a quarterly
report from the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission
(R-JMEC) by the interim chairperson Amb. Maj. Gen. (Retired) Charles Tai Gituai.
The second agenda would be a report of the three standing
specialized committees of foreign affairs and international cooperation,

act by the chairperson of the Committee of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation, Honorable Engineer Joseph Malual Dom.
The scheduled items have now been rescheduled to Tuesday,
when the audio issue is expected to have been resolved.
