NEC likely to nullify Magwi S4 exams

The National Examination Council is likely to cancel the Senior Four examination results 2023 due to violations reported in the locality, the minster of General Education and Instructions has said.

“We may end up cancelling examination results for the whole county of Magwi or selected stations depending on recommendations of the investigation,” Awut Deng stated.

The ministry received in the system an alert of examination malpractices in Magwi and Nimule and immediately sent Secretary General for examinations together with National Security officers for inspection of the stations in the two locations.

“Unfortunately, upon arrival at the police station in Nimule, the Secretary General and his team of National Security officers were harassed and called criminals who wanted to steal exams in Nimule by a Police officer in-charge of the Station and his personnel,” Awut explained.

“This is a gross violation of the Mandate of the secretary General of Exams. He has right under the law to inspect any station anywhere in the Country 24/7 whenever he received an alert of a breach.”

Awut told the reporters in a press conference she has initiated an investigation into the harassment and intimidation of the Secretary General and his team by the management of the two stations

“…and there will be consequences,” Awut added as she warned against examination breaches which she said might result in cancelling of individual canditates’ results.
