The community in Awada had appealed for the installation of a network to ease communication which the president promised to see that a network is established in the area.

Peter Natali Okech, the Commissioner of Aweil Center County says a team of engineers arrived in Awada and started the construction of the booster on Tuesday.

He says the installation of the two-telecommunication network will ease means of communication.

“This is really going to help a lot especially looking at the location of Awada, it is very far and without the network, communication has really been so hard with responding to emergencies-we would send a messenger using motorcycle to deliver messages and the distance is very far as it is in the border between Raja and Wau,” Peter stress.

“Also, when somebody is sick and needs referral, we would use the SSPDF range Radio for communication,” he added.

He says when the network is fully installed, things will change in terms of communication.

It’s the first kind the community will have a telecommunication network installed.
