Motorbike rider succumb to death after involving in a road accident in Magwi county

The traffic police in Magwi County says a head-on collision between two motorbikes has claimed one life in the area.

They say the two bikes collide along Magwi-Abara Road on Thursday night, leaving both riders in critical conditions.

One of the victims, Okee Paul, aged 38, later succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment at a health facility in the county.

“On 26th of this month at around 7.20 PM, we received information from our people who are using the road, they called us that there was an accident along Magwi-Abara Road, and we then responded to it. We went up to the crime scene and there was a bad collision between two motorbike riders, we took them for medication in a PHcc in Magwi but it was so unfortunate that at the time when they were receiving medication, one of the victims passed away.” the director of traffic police, First Lieutenant Onge Jackson, told Singaita FM.

He added that the other rider, 26-year-old Okina Paul, is at Magwi main hospital and his condition is stable.
