Police have detained a 28-year-old man for allegedly killing his cousin in Twic County, Warrap state.
The incident happened in Arieeu village of Mading Luit Boma on Saturday.
According to the Inspector of Police in Pannyok Payam, the deceased is a 30-year-old man.
Lieutenant Colonel Michael Kuol said that the fight started after the deceased misplaced the clothes of the suspect.
He told Mayardit FM that the 30-year-old died after being punched in the chest. He died in the hospital.
Lt. Col. Kuol said the suspect will be arraigned in court in Turalei town.
He warned the public against taking the laws into their hands.
“If you have a problem with someone, please go to the police and you will be sent to public prosecutor to follow your case through legal processes,” Lt. Col. Kuol mentioned.
He urged the family of the deceased to remain calm and allow the law to take its course.
A similar incident happened in Twic on Monday. A 47 year old man reportedly killed 65 – year-old in Dhiau Agaal village over a cow.
