Police are holding a man accused of shooting his uncle during a dispute over a cow in Twic County, Warrap state.
The man, whose name has been withheld, reportedly shot his uncle in the knee after an urguement ensued over the ownership of a cow in Manyang Aguekgum village of Ayien Amuol Boma.
The incident happened on Wednesday.
Simon Baak Bol, Deputy Boma Administrator told Mayardit FM that the suspect is being interrogated by the police.
He warned the public against taking laws in their hands and using harmful weapons to exert their anger.
“When you are angry with someone, please go to the court. It is the only way to resolve your issues. Using a gun to resolve your problems is against the law and must be punished,” Mr. Baak stated.
Last year, a similar incident happened in Aguong village of Ayien Boma when a man shot dead his uncle during a family dispute.
