Learners in five schools receive free uniforms in Kapoeta

AVSI organization is distributing school uniforms to five schools in Kapoeta North County of Eastern Equatoria state.

The County Commissioner says the exercise is to encourage children to enroll and remain in school.

Commissioner Emmanuel Lolimo Epone said the selected schools are Karukomuge, Riwoto, Paringa, Choroi and Lomeyen primary schools and are all public schools.

“The distribution of uniforms is to all the schools being manage by the government with the help of our partner AVSI… it is also very important to have a visible school when they have uniform it is easy to identify pupil passing time,” he affirmed.

So far, Lomeyen, Riwoto, Karukomuge primary schools have received the uniforms, while Paringa and Choroi primary schools are yet to receive the items.

AVSI foundation supports education activities in Kapoeta, Ikwoto and Magwi areas of Eastern Equatoria State, among other locations across South Sudan. It supports projects in South Sudan that benefit the most vulnerable in society.
