Leader of Sudanese traders in NBG deport to Juba over security threats

The leader of Sudanese traders in Aweil Mr. Nureen Yousif has left the state of Northern Bahr el Ghazal over the weekend and surrendered to the Sudan embassy in Juba.

Hon. William Anyuon Kuol is the minister of information and communication in Northern Bahr el Ghazal says Yousif whom the youth issued ultimatum in their petition letter has been handed over to his government official in Juba.

He said handing him over to their embassy in Juba is to help ease tension between youth and Sudanese traders operating in Aweil.

He said the youth have accused him of insulting them in a social media post he made after 6 six year girl was defiled and killed by one of the traders earlier this month.

“The reason we took Nureen to his embassy because Sudanese ambassador is responsible for all Sudanese’s who are working here if any once commit a mistake than embassy can take responsibility of the national to study the case before deporting the person”, said Anyoun.

Anyoun said he is informing the public that Mr. Nureen is not with them in Northern Bahr el Ghazal anymore.

Some of the youth who spoke to Akol Yam 91. FM in Aweil say they have welcome the news about departure of Nureen Yousif  from the state. They still called on government to come up with policy that will regulate tenant procedures to avoid such kind of incidents from happening again.

Last week about two hundred youth protest in Aweil calling for speedy trial of the victim and deportation for Mr. Nureen Yousif.  They call on the government to expedite court proceeding for late Abuk Lual saying “all eyes and ears are attentive to when and where the suspects shall be arraigned before the Judge for trial and sentencing”.
