In a mini-reshuffle, President Salva Kiir dismissed the Presidential Affairs minister, Dr Barnaba Marial – replacing him with the minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, Joesph Bakasoro.
Until Monday evening, Dr Marial had been holding the key office since April 2021.
In other changes announced on the state-run SSBC, Kiir fired Kuol Athian Mawien, Minister of Trade and Industry; Manhiem Bol Malek, governor of Warrap State
He also dismissed William Anyuon, minister of Information and Communication in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
In separate decrees, President Kiir appointed Kuol Muor Muor as governor of Warrap State; William Anyuon, minister of Trade and Industry.
He also replaced Bakasoro with Dak Bichiok. The reasons for the changes made were not given.
