Governor Adil assigns Commissioner of Lainya County as caretaker of Juba City Council

The Governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil in a gubernatorial decree assigned Hon. Emmanuel Khamis Richard, the Commissioner of Lainya County to take the responsibility of Juba City Council and supervise its general activities until the Mayorship position is filled.

He relieves mayor Michael Ladu-Allah-Jabu and his deputy Thiik Thiik Mayardit from their duties.

The gubernatorial decree seen by The Radio Community read.

(A) Dissolution of the Top Office Bearers of Juba City Council that is; H.W the Mayor, Two Deputy Mayors, and the Chief Executive Officer.

(B) Assignment of Hon. Emmanuel Khamis Richard, the Commissioner of Lainya County to take the Responsibility of Juba City Council and supervise its General activities until the Mayorship position is filled.

Accordingly, the State Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency shall immediately take necessary steps to execute this Gubernatorial Decree pronouncements.

Also Rev. Martin Simon Wani appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Juba City Council.

The Gubernatorial Decrees/Order Comes into effect from Tuesday 27th June,2023 as signed by the appointing authority.
