Four people have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 30-year-old man in Gogrial West County of Warrap state, police have said.
Five suspects are believed to have killed the man in Ajeep village on June 9 at 4: 30 PM.
The State Police spokesperson, Major Andria Santino Kuot said the victim – whose name has been withheld – died during a scuffle over money. The suspects had allegedly borrowed 1,400 South Sudanese Pounds from the deceased but failed to pay back – resulting into the tragic incident.
“I want to tell our community – if there is disagreement between you and your friend concerning money or anything else, please go and open your case at the police station near you, and the police is the right person to go and arrest that person,” Major Santino advised.
Police are still looking for the fifth suspect who is reportedly on the run.
