An old woman and a child are nursing injuries at Nyamlel Primary Health Care Center after a house collapsed on them on Wednesday night.
The grass-thatched mud house reportedly collapsed after being filled with flood water.
Torrential rains and flash floods have continued to devastate most parts of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state.
Schools have been closed, roads have been rendered impassable and thousands of people have been displaced to higher grounds.
The woman and the child were living in their dilapidated in Aweil West County.
Lual Khamis Lual, PHCC administrator told Akol Yam FM that the two are responding to treatment.
“We took the old woman to X-ray and she is fine. We cleaned the wound from the injuries that young boy sustained,” he said.
“But I am encouraging the public to set up temporarily shelter and avoid tukuls which are flooded for their safety,” Khamis added.
