First Lady Mary Ayen Mayardit has donated three buses to Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Ministry of Education over the weekend to improve learning there.
The director general for education ministry said the three vehicles will help the ministry in facilitation of education activities within the state.
“One bus will be used for supervision of schools’ activities around the state, the second bus will be used for examination – to take the teachers to the counties, and the third bus will be used to transport learners,” Santino Bol told Akol Yam.
The buses were handed over to state officials in Juba and are expected to arrive in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State soon.
Akol Yam could not get more detail on whether the first lady bought the buses with her own money or with the public money.
