Fence construction resumes at University of Northern Bahr el Ghazal

The construction of the fence around the University of Northern Bahr El Ghazal has resumed.

The work was suspended three months ago due to a shortage of funds.

The learning institution is a public university in South Sudan.

Stephen Chol Ajuoga, the Chancellor of the University of Northern Bahr El Ghazal said the fence is being erected through fundraising at the state level.

He said the army, other organized forces and government employees contributed over 10 million South Sudanese Pounds to resume construction.

“The high committee decided to spend them on construction of fence in the western side, after that we shall be continue with fundraising to complete the other two sides remain on the northern and South side,” he stated.

Chol called on well-wishers to contribute towards the construction of the school fence.

“I encouraged entire community to joined their hands with us to do batter for future of their children.”

He said the university fence requires at least 340 million pounds to complete.

On March 15, 2012 , President Salva Kiir Mayardit opened the new Administration building at the University of Northern Bahr El Ghazal. The building houses Vice Chancellor’s office and that of the Principal, as well as offices for Personnel Secretary, Financial Controller, and General Administrative Staff.
