Eastern Equatoria to maintain 27 Examination centers

The minister of education in Eastern Equatoria says they have resolved all issues related to examination centers for secondary schools candidates in the state. And the exams will be delivered to all 27 centers in the state.

In March, a letter was sent by the National Ministry of Education and Instruction and the chairperson of the national examination council, Hon. Awut Deng stated that Eastern Equatoria would have three examination stations: Torit, Nimule, and Kapoeta.

An official in the state insisted on having all the centers opened, saying that reducing the centers would limit the number of students taking the examinations because of mobility and other related security issues.

Speaking to Singaita FM over the phone from Torit, Lopeyok Sammy Aperengole urged all students to prepare and report to their respective examination stations.

Seraphine Ayoma Marino is an education coordinator in Kapoeta South County. He says they are grateful for the positive response from the national ministry of education for accepting their concern.

“We are very grateful that the appeal that we wrote to the National Ministry of Education through our governor of Eastern Equatoria State has been resolved.

Among the 27 centers, three are in greater Kapoeta and one in Chukudum secondary school.

State Education officials commended the positive response from the national government.
