In the mentioned nations, this will result in heat stress, according to ICPAC weather forecast for January.

While a few areas in south-western Kenya and southern Uganda, as well as the majority of Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania, are predicted to see modest rainfall.

“Less than 50 mm of rain is expected in the coastal regions of Sudan, Eritrea, and northern Somalia, as well as in southern Uganda, southwestern Tanzania, western and southern Kenya, and southern Tanzania.”

It says that along with the weather updates, northern Burundi and a few other locations are anticipated to see heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.

“The heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the flood-prone zones is said to trigger high-risk flash floods.”
