Archbishop Moses Deng Bol call comes after fresh violence was reported between armed youths from the two areas on Friday.

Dozens of people are said to have been killed and many others wounded.

“Give chances to the government of state and Abyei administrative area to address the problem…I beg you, give us chance, fighting cannot help the communities but dialogue will bring final and peace. Your people are dying day by day, children, women and old people are suffering a lot,” Archbishop Deng appealed.

Earlier this year in February, the Fighting between Twic and Abyei erupted over land ownership, claiming dozens of lives.
