Two young men were killed on Saturday morning in Budi County of Eastern Equatoria state, a legislator has said.
Honorable Peter Bosco Lotyang, who represents constituency number 19 in Budi said one person was also wounded in the attack that occurred along Ngarera riverside.
“[It] happened just between Lojong – 7 miles from Chukudum fariksika [junction] of Budi. Some people who were moving towards the riverside in Ngarera following footmarks fell in an ambush. 3 people were shot; two died and one is hospitalized here in Chukuhudum hospital,” He told Singaita FM from Chukudum.
Hon. Bosco added that security officers were sent to follow the footprints of the attackers, but are yet to apprehend any suspect.
Those killed are between the ages of 20 and 25.
