3 ministers survive road carnage in Aweil, airlifted to Juba

Three national minsters, who accompanied President Salva Kiir during his visit to Aweil, have been airlifted to Juba for medical attention after surviving a road carnage involving a presidential envoy in Aroyo.

The Ministers are reportedly Rizik Zachariah Hassan; Minister of  Wildlife, Conservation and Tourism Minister; Nadia Arop Dudi, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage; and Madut Biar, minister of Transport.

Though details are still sketchy, other government officials were reportedly hurt in the accident, which took place this morning.

The Northern Bahr el Ghazal State minister of information says the officials sustained minor injuries.

“They are fine. They have been airlifted from Aweil to Juba, with minor injuries,” William Manyuon told The Radio Community.

In a short video footage The Radio Community obtained, the convoy was speeding raising dust. Thus, the drivers could not see the vehicles, resulting into the chain reaction of the car accident.
