Lakes state government has purchased vehicles for advisors to the governor and some ministers to ease mobility while on duty.
Governor Rin Tueny Mabor handed over 10 Land Cruiser Hard Top to 3 Advisors and 7 Ministers on Wednesday.
“It is the priority of the government of Lakes State to see into it that no senior government official is walking,” Akech Machek, state government Secretary General told Mingkaman 100 FM.
He said the vehicles will facilitate service delivery, including supporting peace efforts.
The beneficiaries include Advisors on Peace and Security, Economic Affairs, and Human Rights.
It is reported that officials in Lakes state last received vehicles from the state government between 2010 and 2012.
